SORRY, NO OUTSIDE FOOD, DESSERTS, BAKED GOODS TRUCKS, TRAILERS, OR MOBILE KITCHEN VENDORS (NO EXCEPTIONS). If you're not an approved vendor allowed to sell inside the cemetery, you will be asked to leave or be trespassed by police.
Guidelines (subject to change without notice)
Please check back frequently on social media and our website for updates or changes.
No self-assigning or reserving of spots (NO EXCEPTIONS). All designations for spots are assigned by the Wilmington Cemetery staff in the order they are received, including sign-ups done over the phone.
A 10 x 10 space is what is offered so we may have as many vendors as possible participating. If you need anything larger, please call the Wilmington Cemetery at (310) 834-4442 so we may try to accommodate you.
Please bring your own canopy, table(s), power supply, signage, water, etc. (Fire extinguisher if you're warming or cooking food. Food vendors, your warming, heating, or cooking setup must be behind the canopy, away from customers.) NO EXCEPTIONS, ORDER BY THE FIRE DEPARTMENT. The cemetery does not supply any accommodations. Also, please bring something with you to hold down your canopies or pop-ups from blowing away or collapsing due to weather elements. We suggest canopy weights from Big 5, Dick's Sporting Goods, Walmart, etc., or regular free weights, cinder blocks, or small bags of cement with rope or bungee cords. Tent legs or spikes may not be ideal because your spot may not be near grass or soft areas. Thank you for your cooperation.
If you require water, please bring your own, as the water on site is reclaimed and not drinkable.
When arriving and unloading, DO NOT BLOCK, DOUBLE PARK, or GRIDLOCK (NO EXCEPTIONS); otherwise, the police will be called, and you may be ticketed or towed at your own expense. Do not block the front entrance or driveway of the cemetery on O Street. Please bring help with you to unload, and move your vehicle quickly so other vendors, visitors, and those with special needs can move freely without interfering with the entrance of the cemetery.
Street parking is public, so there is no reserving or blocking. The extended Wilmington Cemetery/ BNSF is an unmarked parking lot for use, so please be a good neighbor and park correctly so others who attend the cemetery may park as well. Park at your own risk. DO NOT BLOCK, DOUBLE PARK, or GRIDLOCK (NO EXCEPTIONS); otherwise, the police will be called, and you may be ticketed or towed at your own expense, as we assume no responsibility for any theft, damage, or injury to vehicles or occupants parked there. Either hide your valuables or take them with you.
IMPORTANT UPDATE
Hi, vendors,
This is a reminder and update to ensure that if you haven't familiarized yourselves with the rules and guidelines, please visit our website under the Events tab, where you can find information regarding the 6th Annual Day of the Dead & Pop-Up Event, and read up on it again. There is also a map and additional rules provided by the LAFD Fire Inspector (If not present please check back for updates and posting.)
If you are going to cook, warm up food, or prepare beverages, you MUST bring a fire extinguisher. The heating element or warming appliances you are using MUST be positioned behind you, away from the front patrons and the canopy.
There will be 10 feet of space for every 5 canopies, allowing for better separation to facilitate walking or to provide space in case of an emergency. If you do not follow these existing and additional guidelines, you will not be allowed to participate, and the fire inspector will shut you down and ask you to leave.
We want all vendors to have a great experience while maintaining safety for our visitors as well. Thank you!
For any questions regarding participating in the pop-up, contact the office at (310) 834-4442.
